Department- Swine

 

*Market Hogs

• Animals must have health certificate and 840 tag.

• To be eligible to show, animals must be registered with the County Agent or FFA Advisor by July 15 of concurrent year.

• Barrows and gilts only. No boars will be allowed.

• Animals will be divided near equal as possible into classes based on weight, in classes with a maximum of six hogs per class.

• Minimum weight 140lbs, Maximum weight 280lbs.

*Commercial Gilts

• Animals must have health certificate and 840 tag

• To be eligible to show, animals must be registered with the County Agent or FFA Advisor by July 15 of concurrent year.

• Animals must be registered with the respective association by ownership deadline 

• Exhibitors must present registration papers at check-in.  Exhibitor name and animal’s ear       notches must match the registration papers

• Animals will be divided near equal as possible into classes based on weight, in classes with a maximum of six hogs per class.

• Commercial Gilts may also be shown in the Market Hog class.
