

CALHOUN COUNTY FAIR GOAT RULES
Department- Goats
*Market Goats

Must be registered with the County Agent or FFA Advisor by July 15 of concurrent year.

Animal must have a Scrapie ID ear tag and applicable blood test results.

If Scrapie ID tag is ran and found to be void, the animal will be removed from the fairgrounds and ineligible for show.

Minimum weight is 30lbs.

Goats must be uniformly shorn 3/8 inch or less above the knees and hocks.

Hooves must be trimmed.

It is recommended that goats be dehorned. If goats have horns, they must be tipped to be eligible for competition.

Goats must be greater that 1/16th percentage Boer. Proof of breeding is the exhibitor’s responsibility.
*Wether Dam Goats
